Good Trouble Umbrellas began unexpectedly, in the spirit of resistance.

After the inauguration of a president I could not support, I started showing up at protests. One rainy day, I turned ordinary umbrellas into bold protest signs for me and my friends.

Before the event was over, I had ten requests for my “Rain or Shine Protest Signs”—and what started as a creative act of resistance quickly grew into a movement of its own.

From the beginning, incredible women and allies have stepped in to support and encourage this work. Their energy, kindness, and determination remind me daily that the resistance is filled with the best people.

At Good Trouble Umbrellas, our mission is simple: to keep showing up—rain or shine—for democracy, justice, and each other. Because change doesn’t happen on its own. We are the change.
